I was born in Lenoir North Carolina located at the foothills of grandfather mountain.My parents are Fred and Helen Alley. My brother Larry was the firstborn and I was born after him. My three sisters were born after me Sandy Patty and Lorie. My family and I were raised in church. We attended West Lenoir Baptist Church. We went to church every Sunday morning and Sunday evening. We also attended Wednesday night prayer service. We very seldom missed. I gave my heart and Life to Jesus when I was 10 years old. God and church were a big part of my life. I got married when I was 18 years old to Michael Small. We were neighbors and we grew up together. We are still married and have 52 years under our belt.
Mike found work in South Carolina so we moved and settled down in Camden South Carolina. There we raised our two sons Jeffrey and Joey. They both are fine young men and we are so proud of them. They are hard workers and are managers in the companies where they work.
Through our two sons we gained two amazing daughters Faye and Andrea. Through these fine ladies we gained five grandchildren Amanda, Brandon, Morgan, Mark and Aleighia. Through my grandchildren we gained so far four great-grandchildren Brayden, Peyton, Grayson and Owen. I can say that we are truly blessed. We love all our family! Currently I'm retired but I homeschool my granddaughter Aleighia. She is 12 years old and is in the sixth grade she is making all A's. We are so proud of her!
I have worked production jobs and administrative jobs and eventually I went to work with the state of South Carolina with the child support division as a paralegal working alongside attorneys with the South Carolina court system. I worked with the state of South Carolina for 32 years and retired through them.
I don't hold any titles or degrees except for Mrs, Mama and Nana and I'm so proud to have these titles! I have taken courses with the program master Life 1 and 2 through the Baptist Church and I took several courses on discipleship training. I'm not an expert when it comes to literature. I'm not a biblical theologian when it comes to the scriptures, but I do have the Holy Spirit living inside of me and according to the Bible the Holy Spirit will lead and guide us into all truth and will give us wisdom and knowledge and understanding as we study God's word. I have read and studied the Bible for many years and I have completely read his pages through several times.
I am a teacher of God's word. I have taught adults,teenagers and children. I have written poems and songs that I sing in church.
It hasn't dawned on me yet that I am now a first time published author. I do plan on writing another book of short stories with real life experiences in a daily walk with God.
